My Story
Welcome to My World. My name is Breanna and I am 31 years old. Born in Tallahassee, Florida but was raised and lived in New York my entire life. The absolute best place in the world. Growing up there was 6 of us in the house. My amazing parents who have been married for over 35 years and my 3 siblings. We were raised by very accomplished parents who gave us everything we could want and need. Lots of great memories at the local baseball fields, family vacations, holidays and more. I had such an amazing and loving childhood and couldn’t be more grateful.
I attended the University at Albany with aspirations of a career in government. However, as I immersed myself in the fields of Political Science and International Relations, I discovered that my true calling lay elsewhere. Fate intervened, guiding me towards the dynamic realm of Merchandising, where I found my passion ignited amidst the groundbreaking innovations of a tech powerhouse. I pursed a career in Merchandising for sometime before taking a break for 4+ years to pursue my desire to travel and experience life outside the borders of the United States.
The summer before my Senior year of High School, I took a three week trip to Europe which ignited my love for travel and exploring foreign countries. Over the years since that trip, my curiosity and desire to live in another country only intensified. I love living and being from United States but I wanted to try something new. Be adventurous and make myself uncomfortable in a good way. I've danced through 37 countries, collecting memories like treasured souvenirs but it was Mexico City where I decided to make my second home. Its proximity to New York, it being a large city, somewhat cosmopolitan and the ability to live a similar lifestyle as I did in the States.
Three and a half years later and I’ve been able to establish myself and build a community of people that I adore and lean on. It’s definitely not easy primarily living in another country, but I’m grateful that I have the opportunity to choose and experience something new because I want to. I’ve been getting the itch to go back to New York, but not sold completely. I want the best of both worlds and this year is about actively creating it.
